I'm not sure if I like tea.
But I had it anyway because it's one of those things that I think people do just because it makes them sound legit. Even if it's not really all that good, everyone's doing it.
Don't get me wrong though. I didn't just down me a mug of green because it's hip!
My throat is a hurtin. And it's been this really bizarre delayed reaction kind of sickness. Of course I couldn't be sick when everyone else was...back when it was cool. Nope
My "sickness" comes in little spurts. Little increments. The disease, it doesn't want to arrive all at once. It'd rather spread itself out reaaaal thin so I never know what to say when someone asks how I'm feeling. One minute, "I'm feeling good." The next, "Excuse me while I hack this lung right here." And cough, "Don't worry. It's not as bad as it sounds."
I don't care what people say. Antioxidants don't mean jack when tea doesn't really help my throat. Now, eating a banana finely paired with some hearty peanut butter creamy spread - that's what I'm feeling. That did the job. And Scrubs too.
(Ah yes. Nothing like mixing potassium with a show that tries way too hard for laughs on a Tuesday night.)
So I think I'm feeling better. (No thanks to the tea though)
Just if you asked me an hour ago, the answer would have been different. My little man in the immune system will be making up his mind sometime I'm sure. In the meantime, allow me to continue acting like I feel fine.
(Because I do)
..As of right now
