Halloween was a little bummy this year. I spent the day deliberating whether or not to go trick or treating. When I did come up with an idea to "tweak" an old Halloween mask and go out with Riley, I just felt stupid. I went to a street of houses with her and every house it was like, "Awww how cute, a care-bear! You look sweet so here's a load of candy for you little one." Then they see me and it's like, "Oh here's a kit-kat for you. Happy Halloween"
So I say thank you in the lowest voice possible and kinda move Riley along so it looks like I'm actually looking out for her. I was going against all that annoys me and that's why I didn't last long. I don't like when teenagers do squat for a costume just to get candy. I'm afraid that was the side I was leaning toward tonight so I stopped early. I felt bad. One lady even asked me how old I was. What could I say?? I just told her that I was with the care bear and made a gesture to my sister but it made me look even worse because they had already walked halfway down the street as if they didn't know me. So the lady didn't believe me.
That ended my night.
I went back home and sat with the dog on the front porch with dad. It wasn't all bad. I ended up with a good amount of candy from my brother's friends who didn't like all of their candy. Good enough for me. I got a nice load of Milky Ways.
The other reason I love Halloween is the scary movies. It's about the only time of year where I like to get scared. Any other time I'm just a baby and really jumpy. I still am just it is more fun to jump on Halloween.
Day light savings time and the clocks going back was great. One extra hour makes a heck of a difference.

Tomorrow starts Novemeber 1. Before long, it will be Thanksgiving and then in no time Christmas will follow. That's weird to think of right next to a picture of a pumpkin.

Next halloween, I want to get a better costume and actually plan something out. This year, costume wise, was my worst experience ever. Movie wise and fun wise, it was great.
