Well it's the night before graduation.
I guess that's reason enough for blogging something.
Nothing has hit me yet. I probably won't realize that high school and a lot of these people will be gone until like next year. Weird.
The last day of school was basically anticlimactic. No meaningful goodbyes or special moments. It was an ordinary day of school.
And graduation practice today. Painful.
But I guess that's a good thing because that's the stuff you remember. The sucky parts.
At this time tomorrow hmmm I'll be on the bus heading for the cruise ship for the all nighter project graduation. That should be fun.

So this is it.
My four years of mediocracy and crowded hallways is just about over.
It's been a good four years.
I've learned a lot.
I can't believe I'm still the same person that was braced faced and nervous about simply stepping out of the bus that first day of school.

High school. Goodbye. It's been good.
(Well most of the time anyway)

I'm a little slow on getting my own mac.
Seriously, it hasn't hit me that the end of my high school years is in three days. It feels like I have so much more time, but I really don't.
So in the meantime, I guess it's important to update my blog. At least have something to look back in a couple years and be like, oh yeah. I remember those last few days. And oh yeah. After reading this, a bunch of other stuff has come back to me.
Ya
That's what I hope for. With so much going on everyday, memories tend to get jumbled. This straightens em out. If only I could force myself to type more often. Though, it is a lot of fun typing on a mac keyboard for some reason. They fit your fingers nicely if I say so myself.
Um.
I gotta figure out a way to send this blog out with a bang. As you can see, it hasn't been sent out yet cause I'm clearly still using it and keeping it in the back of my mind. Everythings not lost. I'll have to think of something.
Since this is my first actual post without short blips of randomness and laziness, I am really really proud of myself.
(Honestly, it's the Mac....and the fact that I"m too lazy to get up.....and the fact that Americas Got Talent isn't holding my attention, and the fact that I really like the sound of this keyboard. I'm typing just to hear myself type.
Aaaand post.

---Newly inducted NHS member----

It's June.
My high school career will be over in two weeks.
I'll have been at Borders for a year.
I'll be going to college in a couple months.
I will be getting a mac
This blog will cease to exist.

It's almost time

It will be better.
FYI
(Some of my writing is for shame)

It's coming back...

Well it took awhile but I finally was able to access the site again. Ever since I switched my account over to Google on here, things don't load for me. It's frustratingly too high-tech.

But I made sure I would get on tonight because IT IS after all the night of my birthday and how could I miss the shot to post the blog of my 18th birthday?

They only come once a year. I've gotta be able to remember them all because I have a lot more yet to come.

SO 18.

It's just a number but it's also so much more.

I can finally get myself a credit card, vote, make decisions, enlist in the army, and do other stupid stuff like ordering off those commercials where you must be 18 or older to call.

QVC? Awwright

School wasn't the most relaxing. It's tough when there are two tests in the same day..both of which will greatly determine how my final grades will turn out. I think I did alright despite my mid-Physics freakout halfway through the test before the class was going to be over. (Turns out I still got an acceptable 90 on it)

Here at the house all my signs were still up from this morning's display of my birthday with regards from mom. I didn't do much until we went out to dinner at Applebees earlier this evening with the family...went very well.

Quiet night here after..cake, gifts, picture or two, Scrubs

(Tu sabes)*

Thank you all for making my day wonderful.

By the way and cause I know you're probably reading this sometime later on mom, that white chocolate mocha from Starbucks totally made the day. Something so simple, yet so good goes a long way especially when you've been holding back a craving for so long. aka w. choc and espresso.

It snowed for me today for a good 10 minutes or so but it was coming down hard. Nice touch. (thank you nana)

Hopefully, more is on the way and with finals coming up next week, it will just make days off even sweeter.

SPeaking of sweet, I got my behind accepted into Rowan so if TCNJ gives me that "you-suck" letter again, I'll be at Rowan in less from a year from now which leads me to....

*hechhemmm*

This blog will soon be over.

Yeah..it's almost time to start with a fresh one. It'll probably be around the time of college so I'm looking forward to that.

It'll be good..No te preocupes.*

Well, I could drag on all night. I'm sorry if it's just a bunch of nonsense from only posting a record low 1 time for the month of December. I slacked big time.

Blame the site.

Never me.

Cause I'm 18 now.

And that's the adult way to do it.

It's only Christmas Eve.
It's the only post I've done all December.
But here it is. Unlike most other years, I'm going to try to do a day by day to make up for the lack of dedication I've shown this month. We'll start with one of the most chaotic, confusing, and down-right crummiest Xmas eve's ever. Ready? I'm gonna make myself miserable.

First of all, I had work. SO that about shot all the anticipation that you're supposed to build up through the day. My things weren't done and I never wrote a Christmas story. (Bad sign) So I broke a four year tradition even though I had all intentions of writing and I even started it months prior. Too late now.
Church was unusual because it was the first time I was there since the summer. It's been really bad with working every Sunday morning so I've kinda missed a lot. Besides, our family only took up one pew this year. Normally it's more.
At the grandma house, things definatly went off path. As much as we tried to keep all the same, nothing wanted to go right. Missing family members, missing my story, missing a gift. (Which was mine too) Overall crazy and hectic. Not like it should have been. We left in a slumpy trodden mood and by the time we got home it was like a slumpy mood times infinity.
It's almost like everyone was trying too hard to make things work that they didn't. Now of course the weekend isn't even over. We've still got Christmas morning coming up. I just felt the need to make something seem right tonight. Even though me posting on a holday is unconventional in itself.

But hey.

What is conventional this year?

Here comes Santa Claus.

So this thing.
Thanksgiving has passed...I survived Black Friday...the break ended fast...I worked.
I really meant to get on here and sum up my holiday because I know that in two, three, four years time I'll be looking back at all my posts and reminiscing in all the memories about Thanksgiving.
Well, this years Thanksgiving was ordinary but very nice with a simple at home meal with family and dessert with the other family side afterwards.
I went out Black Friday morning with mom and simply marveled at the mentality of some people as they shop. That's the fun of it all. I didn't buy a single thing nor did I really intend to. I simply liked getting up really really early before the sun and running into people's carts.
Sounds a little crazy to me...but a memory none the less. :)

These days I've still been working to get a Wii. Who would have thought they'd be so darn hard to get? Instant sellouts, far and distant shipping dates, clueless employess....it's all very frustrating especially because it's out of my hands. I won't even be buying the console. It's an early Christmas gift. So all I can do is wait. meh

Aside from that serious video game nonsense which I don't even want to talk about, I've sent out a total of 3 college applications to the date. Still waiting on TCNJ but Rowan and Rider should be getting back to me fairly soon I would think.

And school goes on. I've been reading a lot lately now that there isn't anything required for English at the moment. (knock on wood) Like today I picked up my first Kurt Vonnegut book (Slaughter House Five) and it's pretty fascinating. I think I can get into it. (First time I've ever said that about classic lit btw)

OO and Scrubs is back on NBC Thursday nights at 9. Watch it.
And Heroes on NBC Monday at 9. (This week coming is last episode before break...watch it)

And that about cuts it for my tv this season. Lost is off for a bit..I work a lot..
I'm kinda out of the loop, but at the same time, I've never been more in it; this cycle of never-ending things to do.

If you haven't noticed, I'm a little slow at updating this thing.
The holidays are coming up yet again believe it or not and this Thursday is Thanksgiving. I've got one more day of work tomorrow which I'm not happy about because thanks to one person getting fired, I have to take his shift. I knew when I agreed to work it that I would only be hurting myself because I have way to much that I'll need to get done tomorrow. It'll have to wait until late Monday night and Tuesday now. Darn

Let's see. Planned on getting the Wii today but due to high demand, it never happened. It's understandable so I'll just wait until later in the week.

Watched the most horrifying yet brilliant movie today and I know I'm really late but SAW II was simply genius. I finally sat down to my computer (kinda got it umm by downloading) and watched it with squinted eyes and loud sound. Wow. It was nuts. I can't believe I didn't see it sooner so now I'm all psyched and eager to see SAW III. It's amazing in a disturbing sort of way.

College application #2 will be going out this week. This one is Rowan. TCNJ went out two weeks ago. Won't get word back until probably mid December.

Finished the most confusing and meaningless book also known as "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad. It was assigned through school and I thought I would have liked it but it was simply blah, boring, and bland. I can't count the number of times it literally put me to sleep and I realize that it's probably some deep, complex piece of literature but I just ain't getting it.
Sorry any Conrad fans out there. Feel free to explain what I just read.

Weekend went fast. This is going to be a "sum it uP" blog.
I spent Friday panicking about not getting off work for Sunday and at the float site for the final time of my life. I watched the skit practice and did what little was left to do for the parade on Saturday.
Saturday was homecoming so I went to the parade in the morning; I ended up carrying the back banner and was seriously the very last thing in the whole parade. I got the lousy one that said "Thank You Sunny Side Farms." All right!
I spent the rest of the day working on physics and the tcnj essay which I am now rewriting for the third time. It's never gonna get done but my goal is for this Wed. At least I'm not working at all until Friday so I've got time..only there are a gabillion other things instead. Figures.
So the dance was that Sat. night. After getting an outfit, I picked Missy up and we met everyone there. It didn't last too too long because we left at 10:30 to go out to dinner at Fridays. By the time I got home, it was 12:00.
This morning was yet another early day as we had to catch the train to New York (Yeah I DID finally find someone to cover my shift or else I wouldn't have gone) to see Beauty and the Beast. It was a good show only because they had the elaborate sets and amazing scenes, but because it was straight from a Disney movie, some of the originality wasn't there. Rent was completely opposite and maybe that's why I would want to see that again so much. The best part of the day was just experiencing the city for what I believe was my first time that I can remember. We saw Times Square and all that good stuff and I soooo wanted to do that Hiro Nakamura scene from Heroes where he's standing in Times Square after bending the space time continuum to find himself landing in NY where he pumps his fist up into the air screaming..."I did it!!!!"
I'm such a geek sometimes but when a show like that comes along, I just can't help myself. Yeah that's right.

Next up is Wicked in March. I'm putting my request off in like now cause there's no way I want to miss this one.
The sad thing is, I have to go back to the store tonight for a meeting so even when I'm not there, I'm there. Speaking of which, I got quite excited seeing the big 'ol Borders in NY where it's two stories and jumongus. I spotted the SBC in it too and it looked mighty much like ours.

(Sorry for the made up words tonight. It's been a long day and I'm feeling fat from all I've eaten throughout the day. I need exericise, I'm so antsy.)

After a hectic past two days, I'm finally looking forward to this coming weekend, the coming week, and the amazing 4 day weekend that lies ahead. Oh I can smell it. yum

No really. Ok. I've gotta start off on a bad note. Yesterday (Halloween) was depressing. Working at Borders just didn't make my night pleasant as the guy I was supposed to be in cafe called out. So I was all by my lonesome in the cafe on halloween night while everyone else in the world was trick or treating. Actually that's a lie. I had the "elderly" people in who didn't want to give out halloween candy in the neighborhood so they came to Borders to hide out. You know the type, no offense to you if you're that type of person, but I actually look forward to halloween night so the point is, I was pretty crapped out that I couldn't be home enjoying it.

Enough of my whining. The end of my TCNJ application process is nearing. I checked off the big 'ol E.D. box for early decision...aka I really want to go to your school so I'm sucking up and sending in my application early so please please please consider me more than the other applications. Um hmmm. yeah.

Tomorrow = pajama day in school. It's the LAST time I'll ever get to do this cause ya know by college they don't have pajama days unless you're in a total bum class and if I'm trying to go TCNJ, I don't believe I'll have bum classes if you know what I mean. Actually tomorrow will be the FIRST day I'll ever participate in pajama day because in past years I was always so darn goody goody to actually wear something bummy to school.
Don't ask.

So I'm feeling good. Things are clearing up. The SAT class officially ends Monday but I'm not going so it ended for me tonight. The Nintendo Wii (ee) comes out in no more than 20 days and I do believe I'm going to get one and actually try out this whole videogame thing again. I haven't played a video game in a looooong time (seriously that is) so I'm anxious to get that nostalgic feeling of a new game and a new console back again. Let's hope I'll be able to work a controller...that by the way is a remote control controller. Looks like the whole game industry changed over night.

Oh and the best part of this whole week.
Call me a total dweeb but the SAT scores are up tomorrow (1.5 hours from now) I'm so checking them as soon as I can...12:00 a.m. anyone?

Today was interesting to say the least.
I opened at the cafe at usual time. It wasn't really a good start to the day because the first thing I saw upon me getting there was the schedule, newly revised. SO now I'm working on Halloween night which I'm kinda bummed about cause I'll miss all the excitement and scary movies of the night. The good thing is I'll be off Saturday now for Homecoming. That was a necessity to get off. I can't miss my last one. At least there will always be more halloweens.

So after work, I get a call from friends to go out to dinner with them. That's all cool only they pick a place that I'm not familiar driving to. But I kinda had a general direction and didn't have much time to panic because I had to pick somone and get to the mall where we were meeting. Long story short, I made it there without really any problems. We met up with everyone, got over to Bertucci's, and had a wonderful dinner.
Then there were problems. I knew I had to be home by 7:30 so I'm making sure we're doing everything quickly for me to get home to "babysit." All's well, we leave by 7:00. I didn't get home until 8:00. Let's just say I took QUITE the detor in the wrong direction at night and ended up heading towards Camden.
I turned my self around prettyy fast after that, but I don't think I've ever been so lost and feeling helpless in my life. That highway got kinda scary too cause I didn't know where I was going. BUT, what matters is I made it. I learned a lot from getting lost even though it was stressful. Often that's the best way to learn your way around I find.

This Tuesday is halloween. Even though I'm going to miss it, I'm still gonna watch a lot of scary movies maybe tomorrow or monday and have a make shift holiday for myself a couple days in advance.
This weekend I'll get my improved SAT scores then off my applications will go. That means I'm gonna do all my essays and applications this week and send out as soon as the scores are official. From there, it's hope for the best and maybe do a little prodding at the schools over phone.
Once I get into a school, I'll be good.
First things first.
I've got a busy week ahead.

Sometimes I just wish I could take a whole day away from everything just to stop and focus on other things. I find it so hard lately to do anything other than school work, college things, and what needs to get done, but I'm left with little time to just relax. When I do, I feel like I should be working. It's funny.
Went to the Rachel's Challenge program at RV tonight and got a lot out of it. I realized just how important it is to simply be nice even though it's always just been subconciousness stuff to me. I don't feel the need to go into details but it's important to remember now and then just how short life is. I dunno. That's kinda why I just want to take time out every now and then just to take a deep breath, relax, and stop stressing.

Yeah funny.
...But I'm trying.
Just gotta remind myself that all is cool.
Always is.
Things are going well.
I'm fortunate.
Now it's time to take it all in and enjoy the ride
(But not completely on cruise control yet mind you. I'm two hands on the steering wheel, completely in control. at all times)
Sweet

Busy week coming up. Lotsa school work to get done and a good amount of college junk to fill out and take care of. But first, past weekend...

...Wasn't all too special.
Went over to the first day of the float site Fri. but didn't stay long and wasn't very productive. I ended up at the library to check out a couple movies, which was much more worth my time. The next day was SAT day in the morning. I believe it went well and I'm fairly sure that my math score will go up. My estimates (mark it):

Math - 510
Critical Reading - 590
Writing - 620

I dunno. That's me being hopeful and somewhat realistic. They're not really good scores in the first place, but that's what I should be capable of for my best. For those that aren't savy with the scoring, each section is out of 800. Really good is anything around the 600 range.
After the grueling 8:00 - 1:00, I went out for Chinese foooooood with a group. Goood stuff when you need something to fill ya back up. That night I discovered Wawa has amazing coffee drinks when I took a walk from the Lowes parking lot to get a drink. Well worth the $1.06.

Today (Sunday) was, contrary to popular belief, a day of work. It was another 8-2 schedule, which I didn't mind too bad because days go by faster when working with certain co-workers that were today. Overall: easy day.

Now this week will be another story. I've got some nasty physics work to figure out before the test tuesday and a butt load of problems to complete before tues as well. Just so happens, both AP English and Spanish decided to assign 2+ pages of creative writing for their own reasons. The basic idea is I have to type some big pointed assignment. Granted, they're both facil assignments because I don't mind writing but it will still have to take up time when I have the SAT class Mon, and Wed. still....which really doesn't make sense if I'm never taking the SAT again (or so I hope) I'm just going to deal with it for now until I get sick of it. I'm already smarter. I don't need it anymore anyway.

Trashy movie of the week:

^Avoid at all costs. It's trashy, fake, and not even funny. DVD extras are good. They almooost made it worth it. But no.

I guess it's a bad sign when it takes 5 times to remember your password to get back on to the blog. I've gotten supa lazy with the site and basically neglected it to the max. All's cool now though. I'm ready to get back in to the swing of the thing.

o-K,
SATs are this Saturday. This better be my last time taking them. I couldn't stand a fourth time. So my scores...they BETTER go up. In fact, I know they will. It's the one thing I need to get myself into TCNJ. And speaking of TCNJ, I'm pretty darn set that I either want to go there or Rowan. All the other colleges just don't seem to appeal to me and I know that sounds really stupid but I've narrowed down what I want so much, that I'm really really picky about colleges now. I'm fairly certain I can make Rowan's admission but the TCNJ is gonna be the wild card. If I can make it, it will be that much sweeter. Ok so there's my excuse. I've been focusing on the college process. It's true. My butt's been in high gear since before this school year even started. (Thanks a lot AP English)

So it's the fall season officially now. I can feel it despite the fact today was another 70 degree weather day.Crazy weather but I like when it gets cool. Especially, especially, especially on weekends where I can sleep in, which is like once every two months so that's why it's so especially. Working each weekend the morning shift is a good thing but a bad thing.
The good: I get out at 4.
The bad: I wake up at 7:00 a.m. on days where it's practically a law to stay in bed.
And that's what I don't get with some customers to the cafe. Why the heck must they show up and line up at the doors at 8:00 in the morning? Pshh I would be durmiendo if I were them....but hey. That's business.

Ah and get this. I so kicked Wuthering Heights' butt today and finished the rest of the stinking book BEFORE 9:00. I'm so set for tomorrow's discussion, it feels good. And I'll admit. The book wasn't too bad. A bit whacked up, but good.
I blame the author. Emily Bronte had one crazy life that's pretttty interesting to read about and research.
Hear about it. It's fascinating.

I never expected school to start off this crazy. Yeah I knew English was gonna be hard but there is sooo much going on on the sides, that I never have a free moment. So Mon. and Wed. I signed up for an SAT class from 6-9 after school. Every other day including weekends, I work. So it's non stop.
I'm most focused on SAT and college stuff as of right now or rather this minute because my focus is never dedicated soley to one thing for much longer than a day. There's always something else coming up. Take for instance my car. It wouldn't start this morning and it still isn't starting probably because of a battery issue. Jumping it didn't work. So I have to take the bus again and stay in school for lunch. Not only that, I have to borrow my grandfather's car to drive to work, which is nice that I have something to use, but I really like my car.

Also on the worry list is that darn AP English class. I'm concerned about keeping the grades up. No matter how much I study and no matter how much I try, I somehow manage to fall behind when it comes to tests and stuff and feel stupid. Am I not getting something? That probably isn't the case because many others in the class aren't doing so hot when it comes to tests but it always seems like everyone else is doing better. Who knows?

Uh, saw the Last Kiss, twice. The first time I won the premiere tickets for it through the Burlington County Times contest (thank you nana) and the second time was the day it came out (Fri. Sep. 15) with a larger group of friends. I even had a shirt made and everything. The lowdown: great movie. It was exactly what can be expected from a Braff movie, which is something that to this day I still can't describe. Garden State is the same way. They've got some artistic feel to them that is hard to put into words.

Everything else in life is fine. Work is dandy. Weather is changing. New fall shows are starting. New CDs are coming out. (Can you say Clay Aiken?) It's hard to complain. Despite my less than perfect rainy day, I'm having a hard time becoming miserable. I was even locked out of the house in the rain today which would probably send just about anyone over the deep end. But that's just not the way I choose to do things. Admitting that a day is a bad day only makes the situation 100% worse.
Remember:

The glass is always half full.

Summer is toast.
Taken down like the Trojan Walls in my English homework, summer has come to a close.
Even though its felt like it for the past month, this is really it. In a way, I'm glad to be going back to start my senior year. I really am. I just want to get this summer nonsense homework done with so I can move on with real stuff. It's been dragging me down these last weeks and with working on the side, I don't know what the heck to do in my free time.
It's all in an honors student's days work I suppose.

But with the fall coming up, there's a lot to look forward to. There are tons of new CDs coming out for one..looking forward to the new J. Timberlake (snicker snicker) and the new Clay Aiken (triple snicker) but hey. It's guilty pleasures like those that make me happy.
Sadly, the biggest guilty pleasure of them all is coming to a close in less than a week. Yes, you know summer has ended when the Big Brother game has wrapped itself up and the contestants sent packing. It's been another fun summer watching the conniving hamsters vote each other out but all good things must come to an end. Fingers crossed for another season!

The college search has officially begun. I've checked out the applications, gotten the facts ready, and am set to get this game rolling. It's gonna be a bumpy ride, but I'm ready to find out what all the fuss is about. With so many horror stories coming from seniors who've experienced the thrill and tediousness of college searching, I'm ready to live it. Still got my sights on TCNJ. We'll see how that goes.

Aaaand I've got work tomorrow. Yet another day in the cafe serving coffee, cleaning counters, and telling customers that no, we do not serve frappacinos. Nor do we serve our drinks in tall, grande, and extra grande sizes. Yes, that's a Starbucks thing.
I'm not so sure if I like Starbucks. Or maybe I've just been brainwashed into thinking I don't like Starbucks because now that I think about it, I realize Starbucks has never done anything to harm me.

Good evening.
Senior year has swiftly arrived....bittersweet......like the choc-O-lit flavor we put in our drinks at the cafe.
I'm glad that it's here but yet I would love summer to be continued just a litttle bit more. Yeah so I'm sure every kid in America has already uttered that saying on the cusp of a new school year, but oh well. I'm doing it too.
¡Quiero más verano!
(Had to be different)

Work today was work. Work tomorrow will be work. What more can I say?
WWB sound good?

Work
Will
Be

That's what it comes down to. I like the cafe job and all. There's always something to be doing. Just now it has all fallen into a repetitive motion. Don't get me wrong. I'm not letting the apathy set in. I respect the position and my employment there too much to let that happen. So I'm going day to day and saving and earning enough to get me to college....but with the expenses to come, all I may be able to afford will be the lousy school pen with the college name on it. Yeah cause you know nothings free anymore. Oh no.

Manaña, I'll be doing my H.W. for E.N.G.L.I.S.H. Top of that priority list is Mythology which I still have not read completely. It's a slow book, sorry. Typically, I like books that excite. But, let's face it, not everything in this world is exciting.
As of late, just look at my blog.
D.U.L.L

Things haven't much changed lately. I've been working from 8:00 - 4:00 practically every day. The weekends feel like weekdays and the weekdays I'm off feel like weekends. Everything is blurring together and getting screwy in my mind. So I'm hoping for days to go back to normal once school starts. I'm actually looking forward to that what with it being my senior year and all. I'm anxious to get it started.

Yesterday was crazy at work. It was the official opening of the coffee shop so we were up to our ears in free drinks. I think maybe two people actually paid for a drink the whole day. Everyone else had the free coupon. It was non stop rush the whole day so there was hardly any time to clean anything in between orders. When I left at the end of my shift, the place was in need of some serious pick up. I went in this morning to open, and it was spotless. It was a nice turn around.

My next day off isn't until Wednesday. Only two more days this week for me. Tomorrow, I plan on returning some movies to the library after I get done with my shift and doing some more homework. I just got done the AP terms and got them printed out today at a whopping 19 pages. They took forever. I'm not done yet. Biblical terms are up next.

Nothing exctiting left to mention. I'm sorry for being so dull. I hate typing this standard stuff. It's all so boring.....
......so here's something interesting
